Peter Worswick
Peter Worswick is based in a small village in north Cumbria, having relocated from Lancashire in 2020. He has been a professional artist for over 40 years and has exhibited extensively throughout the UK, including at Kensington Palace and the Tate Gallery Garden Pavillion. He is an honorary member of the International Guild of Artists after having won first prize on a number of occasions.
Peter’s love for wildlife and landscape painting is inspired by his surroundings in the Lake District. He regularly sketches and paints on location, creating essential ingredients for his studio work.
“Over recent years my painting has naturally evolved and developed a more contemporary feel. My main focus is to capture the light and atmosphere of the surrounding landscape. For me, this really is an exciting time of life. As Paul Cezanne said ‘a work of art which did not being in emotion is not art'”
